Kilroy is a mysterious and clever fellow, and you can find him throughout our website and in the museum itself. Count carefully, he has been known to appear, disappear, move, or even multiply! For our younger guests, guess the correct number of Kilroys and you may just receive a special prize!

Originating during World War II, the phrase "Kilroy was here" and the associated image became synonymous with the presence of American troops across the globe in every theatre of the war. This original American graffiti is surrounded by myths and legends, and can still be found to this day. There are even two present on the World War II Memorial in Washington DC!
